Dr. Dale Ladd

Optometrist​​​​​​​

Dr. Ladd has been in private practice in Batesville since 1995. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, making him a board-certified optometric physician. He is a graduate of Arkansas State University and the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee where he received the award for Outstanding Clinician. He was also awarded Young O.D. of the Year in 2000.

​​​​​​​Dr. Ladd enjoys spending time with his wife, Teresa, and their children and grandchildren. His favorite thing to do is spend time outdoors hunting and fishing. He has a love for duck hunting and enjoys sharing that love with others.

Dr. Emily Smith

Optometrist​​​​​​​

Dr. Smith joined Ladd Eye Center as an associate in 2018. She grew up in Batesville and graduated with honors from the University of Central Arkansas. She then graduated from the Southern College of Optometry as a Doctor of Optometry in 2014. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Arkansas Optometric Association. Dr. Smith sees patients of all ages and is especially interested in specialty contact lens fittings for conditions like keratoconus and high prescriptions.

Dr. Smith is a member of the Batesville Rotary Club where she served as president from 2022-2023. She is also a board member for North Arkansas Dance Theater. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, traveling, and fishing. She is married to Kevin, who also grew up in Batesville, and they have two sons.

Jamie

Optician

Jamie Kimmer is our Dispensary Manager and one of our opticians. Jamie has been with our office since September 2003. She loves to help our patients with the most cutting edge lens and the most current frame styles. Jamie is the mother of two adult children and a fur baby, Gypsy. She loves spending time with family and friends! Jamie loves being outdoors hiking, rafting, and spending time at the lake.

Leslie

Optician

​​​​​​​Leslie has been a valued member of our practice since September 2020. She loves helping patients find the perfect new frames and takes pride in making sure everyone leaves feeling confident in their look. There's nothing more rewarding to her than being able to repair a pair of glasses and save the day! Outside of the office, Leslie stays busy with her son who keeps her on her toes with his love for sports and the outdoors. She enjoys spending time with her family, and her favorite place to unwind is at the lake.

Baylee

Optometric Technician

Baylee Meeks is one of our optometric technicians and has been a tremendous asset to our office since 2023. Baylee is a gym rat who also enjoys spending time with her fur baby, Winnie. She loves movies, binge watching tv series, and reading books.

Katy

Insurance/Billing Specialist

Katy Salter is instrumental in getting our insurance claims filed and coding completed in each patient's chart. She has been with our office since February 2020. Katy does not hesitate to take on any new task in our office. She is the mother of 6. Katy and her husband, Josh, enjoy spending time with their family and church family. They enjoy dirt track racing and the many after school activities and sports their children are involved in. Katy loves going to her son's college baseball games.

Terri

Office Administrator/Licensed Optician

Our office administrator is Terri Armstrong. She has been with our office since August 1999. Terri is a Licensed Optician. She enjoys helping our patients with their vision needs whether it's regarding glasses, contact lenses, or insurance. Please call Terri if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions for our office. Terri is the mother of two adult children and the Nanny to two of the sweetest grandchildren. Hallie

Optician

Hallie began her career in optometry in August 2025 as an optometric technician where she developed a strong foundation in patient care, pre-testing, and clinical support. Through hands-on experience and a passion for eye health and learning, she advanced into her current role as optician. Hallie truly enjoys taking care of our patients, helping them see their best, and ensuring they feel comfortable and confident throughout their visit. She's committed to continuous learning and growth in the field of optometry, always striving to expand her knowledge and stay current with advancements in eyewear and eye care technology. Providing personalized service and making a positive impact on each patient's experience is what motivates her everyday. Outside of her career, Hallie is a mom of two kids and enjoys reading and spending quality time with her family!
